Learning to report CBCT from a Consultant Dental and Maxillofacial Radiologist is a rare opportunity. Learning from one who can make it all click is rarer still. That is exactly what Dr Ed Walker brings, and we are very lucky to have him teaching our next CBCT Level 2 Reporting course on Friday 22 January 2027 at Octagon House in Sandbeds, West Yorkshire.

Who is teaching it

Ed is a Consultant Dental and Maxillofacial Radiologist based in West Yorkshire, working across both the NHS and private sectors. His clinical practice focuses on dental cross-sectional imaging, and he is an invited speaker at national and international conferences. He has taught CBCT reporting to dentists across the UK.

His depth of knowledge is matched by the way he puts it across. Ed has a real gift for taking complex radiology and making it clear, practical and ready to use in the surgery on a Monday morning.

The feedback from previous delegates has been outstanding. After our June 2026 course, one summed it up as the “Best CPD day I've had in years.”

What the day covers

Level 2 teaches you to report the whole volume and write it up. The day runs in our purpose-built lecture theatre at Octagon House, with excellent facilities for both teaching and hands-on work. On the day you get:

  • Hands-on work with real CBCT datasets using AIS 3D software
  • Live positioning on our Carestream and Acteon machines
  • A report writing masterclass with Ed
  • Take-home cases to review afterwards
  • An evening Zoom follow-up for group feedback with Ed
  • Lunch and refreshments

You will come away with 6+ hours of verifiable CPD, aligned to GDC development outcomes C and D. The certificate is issued once you have completed both the day and the Zoom follow-up.

Numbers are capped at 15 delegates, so everyone gets proper time with Ed. The course costs £595 + VAT (£714 inc VAT), and we can invoice if that is easier for your practice.

If you had booked our October date, your place has moved to 22 January automatically, so there is no need to book again.

Not done Level 1 yet? Do it online, in your own time

You need a Level 1 CBCT course before you can join the Level 2 day. The good news is that you can do our Level 1 online course whenever suits you. It is self-paced, with nine modules and 7 hours of verifiable CPD with a certificate, a short quiz after each one and a final exam with unlimited retakes. Stop and restart as you like, and access never expires. It costs £195 + VAT, and if your practice has a CBCT from us, your whole team can take it free.

To be clear, the online Level 1 is our own course rather than part of Ed's programme, but it is a sound grounding before you join him in January.

Also see whether you need a CBCT reporting course and why to do Level 1 online, in your own time.
